First off i have never been much of a runner but this year one of my goals was to run a marathon. So when Nike announced they were going to do a 15k run in Toronto i just knew this was my chance to challenge myself. I have been obsessed with all things Nike for awhile now. They do great free NTC workouts and runs all over the world including Toronto. When i am free you will find me at both. All you have to do is sign up online. Toronto registration in link below.

On June 14, Nike will host women from around the world at the Nike Women’s 15K Toronto – a weekend in Toronto designed to celebrate women in sport.
The Nike Women’s 15K Toronto includes the first-ever Nike Women’s Toronto 15k, a race designed as a proving ground, set to challenge runners to achieve their personal bests and showcase their speed. The race will be held on Toronto Island, in full view of the city’s iconic cityscape and will bring runners on a premium and exhilarating course experience. Toronto is one of 20 cities taking part in the 2015 Nike Women’s Race Series, and among nine hosting a Nike Women’s race for the first time.
“The Nike Women’s 15K Toronto is about going farther, faster. It’s the only race designed to help women athletes of all levels crush their goals,” says Sheila Reid, Canadian track and field athlete and member of the 2012 Canadian Summer Olympic Team, who will be taking part in the Nike Women’s 15K Toronto training program and competing in the race.
The Nike Women’s Race Series is a celebration of sports and culture. The Toronto weekend is inspired by the energy and unique neighborhood feel of city – one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world – and brings a unique Toronto take on Nike’s vision to connect athletes within a global community.
“The Nike Women’s Race Series will be like nothing Toronto has ever seen,” says Reid. “It will bring an incredible amount of energy to the streets and the global running community.
