Now I am a huge Canadian fashion supporter and one of my missions with my blog is to shine a little light on some of my fav designers. I got to ask Rachel a few questions and I just love her answers! See below!!!!

1- Tell us a little about yourself and what inspires you to design clothes?

I’m an Architect turned designer.  I started the business because I was tired of the wardrobe options for creative professionals that do not have to wear a two piece suit to work.  All the options out there were either too corporate, stuffy and not stylish.  What you wear to work should make you happy, be an extension of your personal style and make you feel confident.

2- What are 3 pieces every women should own?

Ponte Dress – Double stretch knit is just so comfortable to wear, travels well and will take you from day to night.  Perfect for the creative professional that is on the go.

A good blazer – A tailored blazer will instantly make any outfit business meeting ready.  It’s a must pack in any carry on.

A pointed stiletto – Any outfit is better with heels, it’s the easiest way to go from a day to night look in the same outfit.

3- What trends are you digging right now?

Floral print – It’s fun, happy, makes a statement and definitely draws the eyes.

Bold colours – Don’t be afraid to wear a bold colour, from an item of clothing or an accessory. It’s always a good way to cheer up a gray day.

Crop tops and cut outs – It’s sexy to show some skin where it’s unexpected.

4- I personally know how hard it is to be in the Canadian fashion industry, What else can we be doing to elevate the community?

Support local and purchase clothing designed by independent designers!  If you love a brand tell your friends.  If we do not support our own, no one else will.

5- When you are not wearing your own awesome designs – where would we find you shopping? What other designers do you love?

I shop online because it’s convenient and gives you access to international designers.  I like sites like revolveclothing.com and ShopBop.com.  Lately I’m digging the Australian fashion scene with brands like Manning Cartell, Maurie & Eve, Misha Collection and Shakuhachi,

6- Whats next for Rachel Sin?

Designing the next Spring Summer 2016 collection, what I enjoy doing most.
