THE SCOTIABANK CHARITY CHALLENGE
This is near and dear to my heart! I truly have fallen in love with running and I strongly believe in making a difference. I am excited to announce that I am running the Scotiabank half-marathon and taking part in the Scotiabank Charity Challenge!!! I have chosen the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund as my charity and I will be sharing more information about them and why I chose them soon.
WHAT IS THE SCOTIABANK CHARITY CHALLENGE???
The Scotiabank Charity Challenge is a unique opportunity for runners and walkers to fundraise for charities in our community.
Make your run more meaningful by going the distance for one of the Official Charities. Run or walk in honour of a loved one or to simply give something back to your community. No matter which distance you participate in, your fundraising makes a difference!
Simply choosing a charity and raising donations brings them closer to their goal! Check out the great incentive programs unique to each charity team—to keep you motivated and to reward your efforts!
Scotiabank recently surpassed $50 million raised nationally for Canadian charities through its marathons across the country, however there is still a very low awareness and I am hoping to change that – and encourage Torontonians to fundraise – as we lead up to the race in October. Bonus? 100 per cent of the funds raised go directly to the charities!!!!!
